About COVID-19
The Coronavirus Disease 2019, abbreviated to COVID-19, is a new form of the coronavirus disease and has not been previously seen in humans. The level of illness can range from the common cold to severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS), and COVID-19. Transmission
When someone with COVID-19 sneezes, coughs or talks the droplets can land in mouths or noses and can be inhaled into the lungs of individuals who are in close proximity to an infected individual. Infection also occurs when droplets land on hands, surfaces, or objects when an individual speaks, coughs, and sneezes.
Symptoms
People of all ages are at risk of contracting COVID-19. Those who are older or have an underlying medical condition are at higher risk. Prevention
Social distancing also known as physical distancing. Staying at least 6 feet apart from individuals who are not from your household.
Wearing a mask that covers the mouth and nose when in a public setting.
Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer. Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are touched daily.
Avoid the three C’s. An environment that is closed, crowded or involves close contact.
Stay home if you are sick.
